Connect a Client Craft website form to the CRM
Place the Client Craft form block in the page’s normal Content grid, select its authorised configuration and verify the resulting CRM record. Keep the form’s destination and credentials in the supported configuration flow; a visual success state is not proof that the right workspace received the enquiry.
A connected compatible installation, access to the customer workspace and permission to edit the page/form configuration. Use fictional contact data in an authorised test environment.
Implementation steps
-
Prepare the destination first
Agree the enquiry purpose and CRM fields using the configuration guide. Inspect the form configuration offered by the installed Client Craft version and confirm the target workspace/environment before publishing the page. A content editor’s ability to place a block does not grant administrative permission to choose another customer’s connection.
-
Add the native form block
Open the page’s Content Block Grid and insert the Client Craft form block. Use native areas and sizing for its placement. Select the intended form from the available picker and review the published language. Do not replace this with a general rich-text form or paste integration credentials into HTML, scripts or ordinary content fields.
-
Check field meaning and visitor feedback
Use visible labels and require only information needed for the next decision. Keep required validation and consent controls appropriate to the configured form. Test an empty required field and an invalid email: the visitor must understand what to correct. A thank-you message should describe receipt, not invent a booking, payment or guaranteed response time.
-
Follow one fictional enquiry end to end
Submit a uniquely labelled test enquiry. Inspect the actual CRM record and compare its name, response route and description with the submitted values. Confirm customer workspace, available pipeline/stage and the person responsible for follow-up. Reload the CRM record to prove persistence. Test recovery from an uncertain submission without repeatedly creating new enquiries; inspect the existing outcome first.
Continue the integration
-
Configure the CRM for a client website integration
Configure the target customer workspace, the enquiry pipeline and the information your form must supply before accepting website leads. Agree the meaning of each stage and who takes the next action; configuring a pipeline does not make follow-up automatic.
-
Integrate a client’s Umbraco website with Client Craft
Install the published ClientCraft package in a compatible client website, approve its installation connection, configure the intended workspace and verify one enquiry from the website through to the CRM. Complete the journey in a client-authorised test environment before rollout.
-
Authentication, permissions and workspace scope
Keep credentials, the target workspace and the authenticated actor separate.
