Best CRM Options for Umbraco Websites

Compare an Umbraco-native CRM with external CRM integrations, including fit, ownership and ongoing costs.

Published by Client Craft, a CRM provider. This comparison includes our own product and presents buying considerations, not independent product testing.

Start with the decision, not a feature count

A website can collect enquiries without giving the team a reliable place to manage the next conversation. The CRM decision is about what happens after submission: who owns the opportunity, where the history lives and how the team moves it forward.

If your team already uses a CRM successfully, replacing it just to connect an Umbraco website may create more disruption than value. If you are choosing both the workflow and the CRM, an Umbraco-native option deserves a place on the shortlist.

Here, native means that the CRM working experience is available within Umbraco. It does not mean every installation needs no configuration, or that external services disappear.

Where Client Craft fits

Consider Client Craft when your business wants to manage website enquiries and customer work through an Umbraco-based workspace. Its pricing is per user, rather than a ladder of paid feature tiers.

The buying test is concrete: bring a real enquiry, the people who would handle it and the steps that follow a successful sale. Ask to see that journey. For an existing website, confirm the supported Umbraco version and the connection requirements before committing.

This is particularly relevant when an agency builds the website and the customer needs a usable process after launch. The website handover should include a clear place to work with enquiries, not just a form notification.

External CRM options worth considering

HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM and Pipedrive are possible destinations for Umbraco website data. Umbraco documents integration routes for these products. These are external CRM systems, rather than evidence of a full CRM workspace embedded in Umbraco.

Some routes use marketplace connectors; others use APIs, webhooks or automation platforms. HubSpot, for example, has a marketplace integration for Umbraco Forms. It would be inaccurate to describe every external option as a custom development project.

A connector listing alone is not a compatibility guarantee for your installation. Check supported versions, what data it transfers, its maintenance status and who will support your particular setup.

Compare the cost of ownership

Ask each supplier to separate subscription charges from implementation and ongoing support. An inexpensive connector can still leave your team responsible for failed submissions, duplicate records or changes to a form. A native experience still needs a clear owner for permissions and the customer process.

Consider the cost of replacing what already works. Migrating a team away from an established CRM involves more than moving a contact list: it can also affect reporting, existing integrations and daily habits.

Your shortlist should therefore answer three questions: does the product support the journey you need, can the team operate it, and is the total cost acceptable?

Does Umbraco include a CRM by default?

Umbraco is a CMS. A CRM workspace or a connection to an external CRM is an additional product decision. Evaluate Client Craft for the Umbraco-native approach and integrations when you want to keep a separate CRM.

Is a native CRM always the better choice?

No. If your team already relies on an external CRM and its surrounding systems, connecting your Umbraco website may be the better decision. Native is a useful distinction in working experience, not a substitute for checking your requirements.

This is a buying framework, not a hands-on performance ranking. Integration availability was checked on 10 October 2026 using Umbraco’s CRM integration overview and the HubSpot with Umbraco Forms marketplace listing. Confirm version support and commercial terms with each provider.
